This project featured an addition and renovation to the existing GSLIS Building on UIUC Campus. The project posed many challenges including a very complicated 'stick built' roof system that was custom framed by Petry-Kuhne Carpenters. To put a modern addition on a historic building such as GSLIS and still maintain the architecture, and to make it appear as if the addition has always belonged, is an artwork requiring a high level of craftsmanship. PK rose to the challenge and not only completed the project on time, but to the highest quality standards.
